It's Personal - guest blogging on my husband's site

While my husband, Kim, has been blogging for nearly 5 years, for me it's an entirely new experience.

So as a way to introduce me to the people who frequent his blog, he suggested I do a guest post on his site.

Because one of the things about his writing style that has always struck me is his openness, I decided to write about the deeply personal approach I have to my art.

Do pop over and visit:

and feel free to comment or feedback to me your thoughts

Hi Maggie!

I commented on Kim's blog but felt it only fair to stick in my head and say hello to you.

I love this idea! I can't wait to see what you'll do with it. Welcome to our playground!

Welcome to the blog-o-sphere! Bodies are a funny thing, aren't they?

My own pound of flesh rides the yellow line between ten year old boy and the girlish one of a lesbian relationship. Nevermind that I'm a straight woman of mid-thirties!

We all those weird little crosses to lug about but I look forward to your take, from your own fingertips of the journey thus far!

Hi Maggie, I came by your blog via Kim's blog, and am now following you. I have been reading your husband's blog for the past nine months and really enjoy it. I started blogging last August as a means of exploring my creativity, and I have had a wonderful time. I am very excited to hear that you are blogging now as Kim has talked about your work. I am very much looking forward to reading about your journey. Senddng smiles, Em x

One of the things I like about Kim's blog is his total honesty. That factor is what makes any blog or person interesting. To me, the people who don't want to get "too personal" but just write anything is like eating cotton candy. It looks like something but when you eat it you find it has no substance.
Good luck with your blog.

I'd love to see more of your art Maggie, love what is coming through here, it is hard to put art into words huh? well for some of us.

I decided to enter the world of blogging about my art only (check it out but clicking on my name if you want to, but I haven't updated for a while)

I imagine it will take time to find its form... but can you lets us know how your art is going, these projects sound really interesting. (Immerse installations - yum, I have done some too) More photos please!

If you ever want to knock arty ideas around, I'm here and thats what I do. I'd love to.

I already like the thoughtful tone of this blog and your writing, Maggie. It smacks of that most elusive beast, Wisdom. I've admired your art work since I first encountered it via Kim's links. I think I'm going to enjoy reading the thoughts of the woman behind them.
